The Global Change Center transforms careers by providing unique opportunities for undergraduate students who experience barriers to access by providing research grants and unique science-policy fellowships in Washington DC.

 

Through hands-on experiential learning, our students develop clarity on their career paths, find inspiration from working with professionals, and build the credentials needed to be competitive in today’s job market.

    Government agencies, nonprofit organizations, & think tanks need a pipeline of young talent with strong science & engineering backgrounds. However, most undergraduates receiving degrees in these fields lack the opportunities & connections needed to explore these career options.

    The Hollins partnership provides summer research experiences at Virginia Tech for select Hollins undergraduate students, with the explicit goal of identifying possible mentor-mentee connections/relationships for their future graduate training.
