Jin Pan is a post-doc working in Dr. Linsey Marr’ s group. She earned her Ph.D. from department of civil and environmental engineering at Virginia Tech under the guidance of Dr. Linsey Marr. She also holds a M.S. in Civil and Environmental Engineering from the University of California at Berkeley and a B.Eng. from Tsinghua University.
Her research focuses on airborne and fomite transmission of SARS-CoV-2 and influenza viruses, including the survival of aerosolized SARS- CoV-2 on fabrics and how they can be transferred to human skin. She also explores the contamination levels of SARS-CoV-2 and influenza viruses in environment, such as dormitories and daycare centers.
