Anna Pérez-Umphrey received her bachelor’s degree in Wildlife Biology at Colorado State University in 2013 and her Ph.D. in Wildlife Biology/Molecular Ecology at Louisiana State University in 2021. Her primary research interests are understanding how ecological, demographic, and genetic factors interact and contribute to disease susceptibility and prevalence in wildlife populations. She looks forward to continuing her research in disease ecology studying the house finch – Mycoplasma gallispecticum system, working under Drs. Dana Hawley and Kate Langwig.
