Dr. Ferreira’s research program focuses on the development of Bayesian statistical methods, modeling and computation for highly structured data, with emphasis on time series, spatial and spatiotemporal data. Recent research projects have included: development of dynamic multiscale models for spatiotemporal datasets; development of optimal design of monitoring networks for spatial and spatiotemporal processes; and the study of the relationship between meteorological variables and tornado occurrence as well as identification of temporal trends in relevant meteorological variables.
The GCC's affiliated faculty come from dozens of disciplines, spanning more than 20 academic units on campus.
