Peter Vikesland is a professor of civil and environmental engineering at Virginia Tech. His research involves the application of fundamental chemical principles to the study of natural and engineered systems.
Current research in the Vikesland Research Group focuses on
sensors for environmental contaminants, environmental implications of nanotechnology, and environmentally mediated antimicrobial resistance dissemination.
The GCC's affiliated faculty come from dozens of disciplines, spanning more than 20 academic units on campus.
