Dominique Edwards joined Dr. Cayelan Carey’s lab in the department of Biological Sciences as a Ph.D. student in the fall of 2024. He is interested in studying the relationship between reservoirs and macrophytes, particularly how global change can affect ecosystem processes linked to methane emissions and drinking water quality.

Dominique completed his undergraduate degree at SUNY-New Paltz in May 2024, where he had a strong focus on long-term lake monitoring and temperature dynamics across local ponds and lakes.

Dominique’s graduate research will explore how global change alters the dynamics between aquatic plants and ecosystem processes within a waterbody. He looks forward to collaborating with others within the IGC community.
