We're excited to welcome and introduce Stephanie McBride, new GCC Program Coordinator, joining the Global Change Center office in mid-August!  

Stephanie is a native of Indianapolis, IN and graduate of Ball State University with a B.A. in Natural Resources and Environmental Management. She spent several years working as an interpretive naturalist and outdoor educator in parks departments and museums.

Twelve years ago, she relocated to Florida where, after a brief stint as a tour guide in St. Augustine, she found a new career path in the realm of higher education at the University of Florida. She served as an event planner at UF for a decade, most notably as the director of commencements.

Stephanie is now excited to join the Global Change Center as our new Program Coordinator where she can merge her professional and educational backgrounds together. She looks forward to learning how she can contribute to Virginia Tech’s mission and help to further the vision of the Center.
